Miniatures masters, molds, and stream today!

Just in time before the end of January, we have a few news to share with you.
Miniatures and molds production
We managed to make the miniatures masters for the mold creation before the Chinese New Year. The manufacturer is back from holidays and working already on the production of the molds.
Here is a look at the entire Tang Garden: Seasons visitors for you to see!

The rulebook is online!
We took the time during the Chinese New Year break to refine the rules to start the localization of Seasons. This has really been a work of love, written by Jonathan Cox overseen in all its different steps by Pierpaolo Paoletti (co-author and editor).

What’s next?
We need to work on the big box and work on the insert with Game Trayz.
We need to create the compendium
We need to receive pre-production of new player bases and flying lantern plastic bases

Considering all of this, we are aiming at Q2 2023, but we will have to update you as soon as we establish a date with our manufacturer that just resumed operations.

PPC is here with us! What’s next

Dear Architects,
We hope you are all doing well!
We want to take the opportunity to wish you a great time during this holiday and the end of the year. 2022 was the year Tang Garden: Season was funded by you and we could not be more thankful for it!
Pre-production is with us!
We have complete pre-production of all the printed components that are now here with us, which means that pre-production copies for the plastic characters, transparent plastic bases for lanterns, and the character bases are still pending.
We will give you a tease of what’s inside the PPC with a few pictures of what we received, but we will leave the complete unboxing from when the first mass-production copy will arrive!
Everything is structurally solid and gorgeous. Tang Garden has been close to our hearts for so long, and we couldn’t be prouder of the work we have done for Seasons.
We are changing three minor things (mainly the size of the holes of a few interlocking pieces -Pagoda floors and viewpoints- to make sure you will be able to assemble with ease, and the interlocking mechanism of the Panoramas.
While the molds are being created for the few plastic components we have in the game, the manufacturer will revise these changes to make newly printed samples of just these components.

What’s next?
The next thing we had to do was the rulebook, and that’s done! We are just missing the mockup of the components in each of the seasons and a layout pass from Jonathan Cox, and then we will immediately work on the compendium.
As soon as we receive the final samples of the plastics, we will approve and begin mass production, which means that production will start after the Chinese New year and this will create a delay in our delivery time.
We will have proper estimates as soon as we begin production, but we think it will be a minor delay of a few months.

Last sprint of the Pre-production process. PPC is almost here!

We hope you are all doing well!
First of all, congrats to our four backers and veteran players of Tang Garden (Codenaga, Vrarimor, Zhpaka, and Tabackej) that managed to win the cooperative game of Tang Garden: Seasons at a great speed too!

Pre-production update
That being said, we are so excited that the pre-production copy of Tang Garden: Seasons it’s almost with us, it should arrive between today and tomorrow. We will be sending a new update with the unboxing photos, but for now, we can show this photo shared by our manufacturer of the Expert character cards, for you to have a look at!
In this pre-production copy, we will receive everything but the following:
Plastic character bases
Transparent plastic bases for the lanterns
Miniatures
For the pieces mentioned above, the manufacturer is working on the molds and refining the minis based on a few considerations. So far, these are the changes that have been applied. Hopefully, this will be all of it and we will be able to manufacture the molds (which takes around 30 days).
What’s next?
The pre-production copy of Seasons will be passed along to the team for testing and checking if everything is fine. After this stage, we will post an unboxing update along with any important information we found. Ninox, our manufacturer, is the one that made Tang Garden and we are confident that this will be a smooth process.
After that, we will begin manufacturing all your copies. The retail release will be manufactured after your copies are done.
We will share more information about your timeline in the next update after discussing the PPC with our manufacturer.

We hope you are all doing well!
The Bazaar is now closed and we are happy to announce that more than 5000 Golden cats were sold! This means that we will be able to adopt three or more cats for all their lives. We will update you soon with more details about this initiative. Thank you so much for your kind support!
Pre-production update
In the previous update, we communicated that all files (besides the rulebook) are in the hands of the manufacturer. There were a couple of back-and-forths with some requests to change a few files. It was suggested to us that the box size would have to be larger than 30cm, but eventually, we reworked all the punchboards to maintain the size of 30cm.
Everything looks good now and we are awaiting the end of the printed pre-production copy which should take 2 more weeks.
The plastic components we have in the game are the miniatures, the beads (which are common size), and the plastic transparent holder for the flying lanterns. We are working on making the molds for these which should take around 30 days to be produced. More information on this in the next update.
We just need one more pass from Jonathan for our Seasons rules, but we already started creating all the mockups and the layout of the rules.
A new unlockable for Tang Garden: Seasons
Viewpoints replace the Pavilions in certain Scenarios of Seasons to have a clear picture of what is the available space and add or remove characters from there (like in the Summer scenario), but because you requested it, we have come up with a different way to score the viewpoints. These 9 viewpoint cards will grant points based on how many Viewpoint decoration cards you have drafted in a game. The first one will be 4 points and each subsequent viewpoint will be worth 1 point less than the previous one.
On November 18th at 8:00pm CET / 3:00pm EST join us on Twitch where 4 backers of Seasons will try to beat the Summer Scenario (cooperative game) to unlock these 9 Viewpoint cards for everyone!

📌 Bazaar final days and new metal prints!

We hope you are all doing well.
Let’s start with the most important announcement. We are excited to say that all pre-production files for the game are done! We will now start working on the layout of Seasons rules and on the Rulebook Compendium while our manufacturer creates the pre-production copy for us. For the big box and the insert, we will need more time as pre-production needs to happen before we establish all the rest.
Final Days for the Bazaar
On October 3rd we will be sending an email to all of you letting you know your pledge will be locked and charged 48 hours later, on October 5th, 2022. Make sure to add any additional items you may want before the closing time.

We have used a new manufacturer for these sleeves which is dedicated completely to sleeves and playmats manufacturing. We just received the samples and these are definitely the most durable and beautiful sleeves we have done so far.
